The highest resort within the “Les Trois Vallées” ski area, Courchevel – which is also referred to as 1850 – is the vastest and most luxurious one. Nestled in the middle of "Les Trois Vallées" ski area, Méribel – like Courchevel, is known for its luxury chalets and exceptional skiing and après ski experiences. The main town is called Méribel Les Allues, but it is usually just called Méribel. Approx. 3 km out of Méribel town you will enter the so-called Méribel Village – a tiny ski village crammed with luxury ski chalets and apartments served by their chairlifts to Méribel Altiport. The mountain has recently undergone renovation, now boasting a 10-seater ski lift which reaches the very top in just 19 minutes; replacing the 3 stage Plattieres gondola which used to link Meribel-Mottaret with Val Thorens.
