Since the start of the Covid outbreak, travellers have been hit with flight cancellations, testing positive right before their flight or have an emergency that prevents them from travelling. All this uncertainty creates uneasiness or fear when it comes to travelling. GlobeAir helps you safeguard your journeys.

GlobeAir launched the €500 cancellation policy for all bookings in March 2020 to offer flexible travel to our customers. We at GlobeAir understand that uncertainties about changes to country entry restrictions or sickness might make passengers less comfortable with the idea of travelling. Our last-minute cancellation insurance has been regarded as a valuable addition, with almost 900 policies sold respectively during 2020 and 2021.

Based on the sold policies, this has proven an undeniable need to provide peace of mind to our clients that they will be protected. We have now taken this protection even further by introducing the Refund Protect Policy and allowing our clients to choose a refundable booking through our online booking portal.

What is it and how does it work?

Due to the popularity of last-minute cancellation insurance, GlobeAir has gone one step further and introduced the Refund Protect Policy. The basic premise of this policy allows you to cancel the booking under the below terms:

• Sickness, Accident, Injury
• Home Emergency
• Pre-existing Medical Conditions
• Public Transport Failure
• Theft of Documents
• Court Summons
• Private Vehicle Failure
• Emergency Services Recall

The real value of the Refund Protect Policy is how travellers will qualify for a full refund based on providing evidence of their claim. For example, if a passenger needs to cancel your flight due to testing positive for the Coronavirus, by submitting the claim form with an official government document reflecting your positive test result, GlobeAir would then be able to process the full refund accordingly.

With the Refund Protect policy, you can cancel and reschedule your flight at any time as long evidence is provided under the different refundable categories. By agreeing to upgrade and pay an additional 10% premium on your flight booking, you will be able to qualify for the Refund Protect policy. As an example, if a traveller has booked a one-way flight on a GlobeAir private jet from Paris – Geneva at the cost of €4,400, the price for the additional protection would be €440 making the total flight booking €4,840. This option is inexpensive and provides much-needed peace of mind when travelling.

When making your booking online and your quote has been generated, you will be prompted to choose between Refundable or a Non-Refundable booking. Clients will only be allowed to select an option at the time of booking and not after the booking has been made. Also, as long as the passengers are not aware that the conditions must not have existed, been known or reasonably foreseeable at the time the booking was made, then the refund can be processed without delay.
