The annual Electronic Dance Music Festival called The Sunburn takes place in India at the end of December. The festival was held on Candolim Beach in Goa for the first time in 2007. Over 5500 spectators experienced national and international DJ acts over the course of two days, with Carl Cox and Axwell serving as the headliners. The festival was quickly cut in half and significantly expanded. Man moved to Vagator in 2013; Pune is the broadcasting location as of 2017. At present, there are about 100.000 spectators seeing 150 acts on eight stages.
