The Standard, Ibiza is the first Clefs d'Or concierge on the island. Les Clefs d'Or Concierge is a national association of hotel concierges. The Standard Ibiza is situated in the heart of Ibiza Town and is only a short walk from the waterfront on a Parisian-style pedestrian avenue, creating a nostalgic ambience of enticing nightlife and uninhibited fun for guests as they walk through this historic part of the island.

The hotel was initially conceived by acclaimed Spanish creator Lázaro Rosa-Violán, with interiors designed by The Standard’s in-house design team with participation from Oskar Kohnen.

The design celebrates the resurgence of the energy that initially attracted so many to Ibiza and the rejuvenation of Flower Power with a chic new 60s vibe that only The Standard can create. Still, all can enjoy, simple yet immersive.

The Standard, Ibiza also hosts one-of-a-kind murals by artist Nicolás Villamizar. Inspired by music, dance and the connection between bodies, the unique paintings celebrate the fluidity of island life, and each has its hidden message to be discovered.

The main hotel design celebrates the uncomplicated sophistication of Ibizan life; Fifty-three rooms and suites occupy the streamlined, white hotel — a stark style statement attuned to nearby centuries of sun-bleached masonry.

Likewise, soft materials convey a sense of calmness and comfort for guests stepping in from the town, and layering and pattern work achieved using different textures and colours, coupled with the clever shadow play of plants, add to the warm and familiar ambience.

With views of either Carrer de Bartomeu Vicent Ramon or Carrer Ramon y Cajal, the Supreme King puts you in the middle of everything while still getting away from it all.

Sitting pretty at 24.5 sqm to 25.5 sqm, all rooms are outfitted with a king-size bed with super soft sheets, a medium sofa for lounging, reading, or whatever-ing, a rain shower with Davines products, and a Bluetooth speaker to set the vibes.

Personal recommendations from The Standard Ibiza

GlobeAir spoke to The Standard Ibiza Concierge Manager,Les Clefs d’Or Spain, about their recommendations to make your island stay even more memorable:

One of the best spots where you can enjoy a good dinner is our fabulous rooftop. With the magnificent views of the cathedral, you can even see if it's too late (or not) as you can see the clock on it.

The brand-new outlets, Jara and Up that, offer magnificent views of the cathedral, the Castle or the main square in town whilst enjoying a carefully curated option with fresh ingredients for Spanish/Mediterranean or Mexican speciality cuisines.

In addition, around Vara de Rey, where the first Hippie town was built, we have other fascinating places within walking distance. Such as Ca n'Alfredo, where we recommend a delicious and very local "arroset".

We highly recommend walking around the old town inside and out of the fortress just meters from The Standard, Ibiza, and visiting both the artful shops and restaurants.

Getting lost inside the narrow white streets with views of the marina is a magical experience. A symbolic place we recommend is La Torretta, another excellent dining option located directly inside an old defence tower from the 12th century.

The port directly out of Vara de Rey also offers the largest area of bars & lounges with fantastic cocktail bars and good music.

Departing directly from the port and maybe 3 minutes away, you can find several boat options for a day trip to Formentera. An idyllic island located south of Ibiza with some of the most beautiful hikes and beaches in the world. The boat ride takes 25 minutes.

We find the Marina Botafoch area just a few minutes away, where the most popular luxury shops and restaurants are located. Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Prada, etc.

Marina Botafoch is also where we can offer all sorts of private boats for a day trip or a visit to a secluded Cala. The Calas in Ibiza are the virgin bays located all along the coast and only accessible with a boat, a private beach just for you.

Who doesn't like to go shopping? The area, from the marina of Ibiza to the wall of Dalt Vila, is full of little shops and stalls with Ibizan fashion and accessories. From designer glasses to handmade bags and some hippie-inspired pieces.

Also, nearby Lio offers a gastronomic experience with some of the best shows in town; Roto, on the other hand, many locals favourite for its cuisine and vibe.

If you looking for a quieter evening, you can visit Capuccino. To delight the eyes and the senses in a very tranquil environment on the other side of the marina with delicious coffee and drinks.

Those who want to try their luck in Ibiza can spin the wheel at the local Casino, located minutes from the hotel.

Last but not least, the emblematic Pacha Club, visible even from our Rooftop, is the closest nightclub experience and one of the most legendary in Ibiza, with an incredible lineup and a mere 5 min taxi ride or a 15-minute walk.
