The Australian Grand Prix is a yearly auto race that will continue to host Formula One through 2035. Since it was first staged at Phillip Island in 1928, the Grand Prix, one of the country's oldest still-running motorsport events, has taken place at 23 distinct locations. In 1985, the contest was added to the Formula One World Championship. Except for 2020 and 2021, when the races were postponed owing to the COVID-19 epidemic, it has been hosted at Melbourne's Albert Park Circuit since 1996. It was previously hosted in Adelaide.
