Enjoy the Le Ball Paris
Le Bal shares a cultural affinity with the English debutante ball tradition from the 18th century, where young women were introduced to society.
The debutantes, who were clad in white dresses, white gloves, and tiaras, were bowing before HM the Queen. The customary débutante ball in France ran from 1957 to 1973. Ophélie Renouard created a contemporary variation in 1994 that she called "le Bal." It exists to support charities that aid young women. Of course, with Facebook and other social media, the Debs no longer need to make their social debuts; instead, le Bal is the iconic occasion of their media and fashion debuts.
