On May 18, 2022, a match between the Scottish team Rangers and the German team Eintracht Frankfurt took place at Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán in Seville, Spain. It was originally planned for the championship game to be held at Budapest, Hungary's Puskás Aréna. The final hosts were changed back a year, with Budapest hosting the 2023 final as a result of the postponement and relocation of the 2020 final.
